A brief look into the history of white dove foundation:
After experiencing a mission trip to Vietnam in 1993, John Chaya, president of white dove foundation, had a new focus in life. He witnessed the ravaging poverty, disease and illiteracy that encompassed the country. Instead of feeling helpless, he learned from the Vietnamese people how to have peace and joy within the surroundings. John was encouraged by the attitudes of the Vietnamese people and decided that he would seek to empower them to know how to fill the void of hunger for work, for love, for food, for shelter, and for education.
On August 5, 1997, white dove foundation was established as a nonprofit education and humanitarian organization. WDF is incorporated under Section 501 (c) (3) and was formed to provide education, food and medical relief to children around the globe. We made it our mission to "give kids a chance.”
As the need continued to grow, so did the vision of white dove. There was hope and it spanned the globe to countries in every continent. We looked for people to embrace our passion, our support and instruction and we were humbled by them. White dove changed their vision to reach all peoples on the planet. We are determined to give another chance to the poor and the illiterate, young or old, male or female, and the free or the oppressed.
Jake Chaya developed a method, called BridgePaths™, for helping these disadvantaged people to make better decisions and solve problems that can transform them, their families and their communities.
In 2008, white dove sent a team into Rwanda, Africa. Our mission was to help the poor and the illiterate farmers find a way to get cargo bikes that could be used to earn money. We sought to make people successful by teaching them a new way to think. We walked beside them, in their coffee fields, and washing stations and with their cooperatives and we saw people find hope. Africa has opened an entire new frontier for white dove.
Our mission is to improve the success of executives, leaders and managers in non-profit and non-governmental organizations (international and domestic NGOs), and ministries by working alongside them to solve problems and execute for their desired results. We make decision-makers look good by improving productivity, efficiency and profitability.
